What was your first job?

My first job after I left UCD was working on a fixed term contract at First National Building Society sell Tickets to the Emerald Isle Classic American football Game in Croke Pairc between the Pittsburgh Panthers and West Point College Teams.

What would you regard as your greatest achievement to date?

Being part of the Esat Digifone  team when we went from 5 employees to 500 in 3 years, we took 43% of the market from a standing start and was sold (not valued at) to British Telecom back in 1999 for €1billion, Ireland’s first Unicorn.

In three words or less, how would you define success?

Self-fulfilment/satisfaction.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Most people give up just before they are about to succeed, don’t be that guy!

What’s your motto?

“Death is not to be feared”. It is the Coleman family motto.

How do you motivate yourself and your staff?

Celebrate the wins, and learn from the losses. It’s all about personal/adult development and being 5% better every day.

How do you relax?

Long coastal walks with my wife and dog Vincent, casual drives in my VW Camper van and the odd bit of surfing and sea adventures.

What are your aspirations for the future of the business?

We want to reach a valuation of €64M by 2026 and let’s see where it goes from there.
