HRLocker and Hays Announce Partnership

HRLocker and Hays Digital Technology today announced a partnership to help Irish tech start-ups and scale-ups access and manage the talent they need to succeed. While the pandemic has made access to funding a little more difficult, a far bigger challenge facing growing tech companies are acquiring and retaining the talent they need to build out their offering and scale. Over three-quarters of tech companies have reported that the shortage of tech skills is losing them money. And with competition at an all-time high, start-ups and scale-ups are finding it harder than ever to cut through the noise and compete with more established organisations, with bigger budgets.

The partnership seeks to overcome this by providing access to a wider talent pool and surety in hiring budgets at the acquisition stage while enhancing employee experience (EX) to boost retention rates. To meet their acquisition needs, Hays Rise, a subscription-based recruitment and employer branding service, gives fast-growing tech companies unbridled access to a vast network of sought-after tech professionals, including software developers, data scientists and cloud engineers.

Meanwhile, HRLocker will remove much of the administrative HR burden for companies on the Hays Rise programme, by offering a 3-month free subscription for unlimited employees. Through the HRLocker platform, tech companies can coordinate and automate multiple tasks from, compliance and onboarding to annual leave and learning and development, empowering employees and creating a superior employee experience.

Attracting Talent

“You might have a winning idea, funds in the bank and unique company culture, but if you can’t attract the right talent and keep them onboard, growth is going to be extremely tough. We’re delighted to announce our partnership with HRLocker. The combination of their HR software and our recruitment expertise is a surefire way to help companies achieve their talent goals,” says James Hallahan, Director of Hays Digital Technology.

Adam Coleman, CEO at HRLocker, adds “Attracting the right talent is only half the battle. Creating a positive working environment for them and keeping them engaged is just as important if you want to minimise churn, particularly for young businesses. Hays is a leader in IT recruitment and we look forward to working with them and their clients over the coming months.”
